ABOUT ME.
Integrating Expertise and Dedication
I am a dedicated family practice anesthetist in Peace River, Alberta, and Physician Lead for the Borealis Primary Care Network. I am driven by a passion for delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare to rural communities. My medical expertise encompasses anesthesia, family medicine, geriatrics, palliative care, and emergency medicine, which allows me to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care tailored to the unique needs of my patients.
In my commitment to shaping future healthcare professionals, I serve as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Alberta as lead physician for the Intergrated Community Clerkship in Peace River and a mentor for the University of Calgary’s Family Practice Anesthesia program. These roles enable me to impart knowledge and skills to aspiring physicians, fostering curiosity and excellence in medical practice.

Beyond my clinical and educational responsibilities, I actively engage in community innovation that reflect my commitment to local development. As president of Peace Green Energy and the Peace River Energy Project (PREP Inc.), I contribute to advancing sustainable energy solutions in our region, including the construction of a 4.99-megawatt solar power plant aimed at increasing renewable energy production locally. My investments in local businesses, such as Northern Dough, a very successful bakery in Grimshaw, AB, demonstrate my dedication to supporting economic growth within local communities.
Currently, I am involved in the development of senior care homes in Peace River to address the increasing demand for quality senior living options in our community. This initiative aims to provide safe and supportive environments for our aging population.
